“He who attempts to erect temples for God is freed from the sins of a thousand births. Those who think of building a temple in their minds are freed from the sins of a hundred births.
(Agni Purana Chapter 38, Texts 1-50)
Those who approve of a man’s building a temple for Krishna go to the region of Acyuta {Vishnu} freed from sins. Having desired to build a temple for Lord Hari, a man immediately takes seven generations of his family, past and future, to the region of Vishnu.“

Just by starting the construction of a temple for Lord, sins committed in seven births will be wiped out and one will deliver his forefathers who are suffering in hellish planets and who sponsors a temple of Lord Vishnu, gains 10 million times the merits accrued by Yajna, austerities, charities, pilgrimage and study of vedas (Skanda Purana)

About the Project
ISKCON of Charlotte is building a place of worship (Temple) in Charlotte, NC and towards that we have got a 9.5 acre land in Idlewild Road (1.5 miles from exit 49 in I-485) which will consist of a multi-purpose hall for worship with a modern kitchen to support above programs and food distribution. This facility will make a difference in our community in Charlotte, NC and will be a valuable gift and heritage for generations to come.
